AMY C. LOSSIE
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER
Amy is the Program Director at The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). Dr. Lossie's policy expertise focuses on forging improved comprehensive health care for all who are affected by Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser (MRKH) Syndrome. She co-founded the Beautiful You MRKH Foundation, Inc. (BYMRKH) with Christina Ruth in 2012 to support women with MRKH, a severe form of congenital infertility. Over 1500 families have used their services, and Amy continues to partner with clinicians to increase the quality of care for MRKH. Amy facilitated in providing us with adequate funding and resources for the film.
LISA JENNISON
LINE PRODUCER, ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
Lisa graduated from Pratt Institute in 2023 with a Film BFA. She currently works as a post-production coordinator and has been on projects such as 'The Diplomat', Amazon Studios 'Fallout', and 'Harlem'. On leg one of the film, she acted as assistant director, coordinating between crew members and participants. She established our line budget and managed aspects of financing. Lisa established many of the pre-production needs and aided Frost in the production of the film, from attending many meetings prior to the production of leg one, to legal security for participants and crew.
FROST MARTIN
DIRECTOR, PRODUCER
Diagnosed with MRKH in 2020, Frost conceptualized and spearheaded the project in 2022 during the first semester of her sophomore year nonfiction course. Frost directed and produced the film, wearing many other hats throughout all stages of production. She partnered with the Beautiful You MRKH Foundation after cold pitching to them in the early stages of conceptualization. Frost has worked in documentary and professional productions at places such as Florentine Films, Gigantic Pictures, Motto Pictures, The Representation Project, and Ghost Robot Studios. Frost is a current Pratt Film BFA student who is set to graduate in 2025.
CAN KARAYALCIN
DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY
Can is from Ankara, Turkey, and moved to NY last year. He is now at Pratt Institute obtaining his Film BFA. He works with both film and digital formats and film photography. He has worked on many projects leading to his work on the streaming service Disney+ original story, “Star”. Can facilitate the setup and operations of our multi-camera dolly setup, Responsible for 4 Panasonic EVAs. He also conceptualized the setup needed for lights, general rigging, and curved dolly tracks encompassing the exterior of the circle.
BEAUTIFUL YOU MRKH FOUNDATION
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER
The Beautiful You MRKH Foundation strives to create a supportive community that partners with healthcare professionals to increase awareness and empower women of all ages with MRKH. They administer the MRKH Support and Awareness Facebook site, manage the sister-to-sister mentoring program, and provide various types of support for all who are affected by MRKH. Spreading the word about MRKH throughout the medical community, open dialogues about MRKH with the media, and working to eliminate the shame and isolation that often accompanies a diagnosis are goals of the foundation.
